Horrific car accident claims life of Eumundi Resident Suzi Latimer

Eumundi resident Suzi Latimer, 49 died at the intersection of Eumundi Noosa Rd and Don Napier Rd on August 24, 2016.

Suzi, a long term resident of Eumundi, tragically lost her life in an horrific road accident on Wednesday 24 August 2016 in Eumundi, Queensland. She was driving home from work on her way to pick up her family for dinner to celebrate her mother’s birthday.

Weather conditions improve on the Sunshine Coast

The weather system that has brought heavy rain and strong winds to the Sunshine Coast has moved through the region more quickly than expected.

Acting Local Disaster Coordinator John Gallina said there had been no reports of serious damage on the Coast and it was anticipated that conditions would continue to ease throughout the day.

The Minister for State Development and Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Dr Anthony Lynham today (19 May 2016) announced that the Sunshine Coast Airport Expansion program has been approved by the State Coordinator-General accepting the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the project.
