To Thong or Not to Thong?
Latest Driving tip by Brent from Noosa Driving School.
This Driving query is often raised from time to time during conversations with parents of young Drivers.
Q. Is it legal and ok to drive with thongs on?
A. No. Anything with a loose fitting strap is considered potentially dangerous as it could slip off under heavy pedal usage & therefore may possibly lead to loss of control over the vehicle.
However, driving with a tight fitting, closed in shoe or bare feet is legal & considered safe operation.
Leave your 'pluggers' on the floor behind the drivers seat!
